We are centrally located in the historical suburb of Mortlake on the Parramatta River opposite Breakfast Point, just twenty minutes to the city. The Palace Hotel is close to the Homebush Olympic site where the annual Royal Easter Show is held, as well as various sporting venues, stadiums and Millennium Park. Homebush is approximately eight minutes (by car) away.

A bus stop is located opposite the hotel (on the Breakfast Point side of Tennyson Road). This bus will take you to Parramatta Road, Burwood Train Station, Liverpool Road and Ashfield Train Station. Trains to the City, Hornsby, Parramatta and beyond are available from Burwood.

Ferries depart the nearby Cabarita Wharf approximately every thirty minutes. The heritage retained Mortlake to Putney Punt (vehicular cable ferry) takes motorists across the Parramatta River approximately every twenty minutes. This is the only remaining punt in Sydney! There is currently no charge for this service.
